Jocy.

I am an 11th grader who attends Linda Marquez High School. I am a hard worker at school. I try to be as involved as I can, such as being in part of school clubs. I am also in the school's varsity basketball team. I love basketball, Thai tea, and Italian food. I hope to attend UCLA after graduating high school. I wish to have a successful career as a doctor. I am a very optimistic person. I was blessed with the best people in the world, which i am lucky to call my family and friends. I wish nothing but the best for myself, and i am excited for the future!

It’s Online, but Is It on Target? Part 1

It’s Online, but Is It on Target?

Part 1

Using the Web Wisely

Thanks to the Web, information is easy to find. However, it’s also easy to post something online. Anyone can do it.

You’ve probably used the Internet to do research for a paper, toy help you decide which product to buy, or to form an opinion about current events. Looking up information online is fast and convenient t. But when you do online research, it’s important to find sites you can trust.

Many websites claim to have the facts, but are full of errors. Other present information in a biased way – they only give one side of an argument. How can you tell a reliable source from an unreliable one?

Also, it is critical that you post online only that which is decent and appropriate, never anything pornographic, vulgar, indecent, out of taste, untruthful, or obscene. Post those things that will make a good name for you and your organization, that will promote goodwill and be of benefit to the world.

Student Success Statement/Reflection

Student Success Statement

“Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfaction”

-Margaret Thatcher.

Reflection

I believe that being a good person take discipline. I agree with Margaret on the idea of disciplining ourselves to do what is right. I respectively disagree that it is difficult. Especially if you are used to choosing the right and already a habit, the practice of choosing the right all the time becomes easy. I believe that it take a person who chooses the right to be considered a good and admirable person. Only if you have good qualities should you be prideful, feel good about yourself and be happy with yourself.
