Student Success Statement/ Reflection

Student Success Statement
“To see what is right and not to do it is want of courage.”
-Confucius
Reflection
I agree with this statement. I believe that when one sees what is right and does not do it is because they are lacking courage. It takes courage to do what is right. It takes a worthy person to have courage. It is right to do what is right when they see it, but not everyone may manage to do what is right. Their lack of courage holds them back from doing what is right. We have to be courageous and step up to what is right and take the correct actions.

It’s Online, but Is It on Target? Part 1

It’s Online, but Is It on Target?

Part 1

Using the Web Wisely

Thanks to the Web, information is easy to find. However, it’s also easy to post something online. Anyone can do it.

You’ve probably used the Internet to do research for a paper, toy help you decide which product to buy, or to form an opinion about current events. Looking up information online is fast and convenient t. But when you do online research, it’s important to find sites you can trust.

Many websites claim to have the facts, but are full of errors. Other present information in a biased way – they only give one side of an argument. How can you tell a reliable source from an unreliable one?

Also, it is critical that you post online only that which is decent and appropriate, never anything pornographic, vulgar, indecent, out of taste, untruthful, or obscene. Post those things that will make a good name for you and your organization, that will promote goodwill and be of benefit to the world.

Recite

At the end of each section, look up from the text and in your own words recite an answer to your question for that section. Then write down your answer. Be sure to provide examples that support it.

Now repeat the Question, Read and Recite steps for each section of the chapter. First ask a question for the next section. Then read to find the answer. Finally, recite the answer in your own words and jot it down. The written questions and answers can help you study in the future.

Review

After completing the chapter, review your notes. Identify the main points by looking for the most important idea in each section. Recite, or write, a brief summary of the assignment.

Review your study notes every week to help you remember the information. When it’s time to prepare for your tests, you’ll find you’ve created an invaluable study guide.

Student Success Statement/ Reflection

Student Success Statement

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”
-Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection

Whenever one is in the middle of making up their mind and are not sure what to decide, the right should always be chosen. That is the best decision that can be made. One should always choose the right. No matter how confusing it may seem and how undecided one may be, you know what is right, and you choose that path.

Student Success/ Reflection

Student Success Statement
“Have the courage to say no. Have the courage to face the truth. Do the right thing because it is right. These are the (3) magic keys to living your life with integrity.”
-W. Clement Stone
Reflection
There are three simple steps that need to be taken to live with integrity. Just because they are simple does not mean that they are easy. One has to have the courage to say no. when someone tries to influence you into doing bad, you have to be courageous and deny the offer. It takes nerve to say no, but if you put your mind to it, it is possible. One also has to be brave enough to face the truth. This means that you have to be realistic about any circumstances. When you face a situation you have to accept the truth, because from there you can decide on doing what is right. The last thing that is required to live life with integrity is choosing the right. ALWAYS choose the right and make the right decisions. With these three keys one can live with complete honesty and honor.

Student Success Satement/Reflection

Student Success Statement

“You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible.”

-Ezra T. Benson

Reflection

This statement is clear and straight forward. When one has made a bad decision and contuse with the wrong action, they will feel bad. They will forever have that in their subconscious and it will always bother them. There is no way one will do wrong and feel as if they have done right.

Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement

“The time is always right to do what is right.”

-Martin Luther King, Jr.

Reflection: This statement has “right” written all over it. There is never a wrong time to do what’s right. No matter what day it is, no matter what time during the day it is, the right should always be done. There is no excuse to choose otherwise since the right should always be done.

Example: an example of “the time is always right to do what is right would be even if you’re going through a tuff time, no matter how hard life gets for you, that doesn’t mean it is time to choose the wrong. The country is in a difficult time economically. Many of us are affected by it. This does not mean that one will go and rob a bank. ALWAYS choose the right.
